The Tummala Trust (TT) is a non-profit, non-government organization founded in 2006 and registered at Eluru (Andhra Pradesh) as per the Andhra Pradesh registration act. The primary

goal of the Tummla Trust is to provide financial assistance to students discontinuing their elementary education due to poverty, thus enabling them to continue their education.

The Trust has been able to provide assistance to at least 200 school students to date.

Objective:

At present, the Trust covers elementary schools in two villages of West Godavari, Andhra Pradesh, India. One of the schools does not even have basic infrastructure like a school building, desks & benches, black boards etc. Students sit in open air on the ground. Due to poverty, the students mainly come to school for the ‘Mid-day meals’ provided. The lack of infrastructure makes the scope of learning limited and uninteresting. The Trust’s operation is to initially procure the basic infrastructure which will be followed by the school building construction. We also provide scholarships to poor students showing merit and interest. The scholarships cover test books, school fees etc.
